CEEITV Studios announces The Voice deals in Estonia and North Macedonia
ITV Studios’ global hit The Voice has reached its 80th territory, with Elitaz producing The Voice for TV3 Estonia which is set to air in 2027. The deal follows a commission from Macedonian Radio Television (MRT), the public broadcaster of North Macedonia, marking the format’s 79th territory.
The milestone reinforces The Voice’s global success: GlobalData named it the world’s most commissioned format since 2020, while K7 Media ranked it the most returnable, with 33 local versions returning in 2025. Across all different Voice versions, the franchise now counts 164 unique adaptations. Tom Clark, EVP Global Sales & Commercial Strategy, Global Partnerships at ITV Studios, said: “Reaching 80 territories is an extraordinary milestone for The Voice. The show continues to evolve through new on-screen twists, digital partnerships and commissioning models, while remaining true to its mission of giving exceptional voices a platform. We’re delighted to welcome Estonia and North Macedonia to the global Voice family.” The distributor also reports that broadcasters are finding new ways to deliver the format and engage audiences across multiple platforms. In the US, The Voice is celebrating its 30th edition with a season-long TikTok partnership, enabling fans to vote directly through the platform and enjoy live companion pre- and post-show broadcasts, as well as a TikTok-themed episode. The season premiere attracted 7.8 million viewers across NBC and Peacock in its first seven days - its biggest opening audience since season 27. In its first three days, the premiere was up 57% year on year and became the most-streamed episode in the show’s history, while reaching more than 19 million viewers across platforms and generating 337 million social video views between Sept. 21 and Sept. 25. In Australia, a fifth, secret coach was introduced, who built a team behind the scenes before joining the competition during a second round of Blind Auditions later in the season. ITV Studios is also working with partners on new co-commissioning models that bring broadcasters and streaming platforms together. In Ukraine, 1+1 is partnering with Netflix to bring The Voice back to screens after a three-year absence, while in Brazil, Disney+ and SBT worked together on the format, with a simultaneous broadcast on both - complete with a special appearance from Mickey Mouse in one of the show’s iconic red chairs. The deals in Estonia, North Macedonia and Ukraine were brokered by Martijn Plaizier, Senior Format Licensing Manager at ITV Studios. RELATED
