CEECOL Group partners with MediaSpurs for microdrama expansion in Poland
COL Group International has partnered with MediaSpurs in Poland to develop new commercial opportunities for its microdrama business. Under the agreement, MediaSpurs has been appointed COL Group International’s Official Partner in Poland, a key entry point for COL’s expansion in the region.
The audience opportunity is already significant. Omdia expects the global microdrama market to exceed $14 billion in 2026, with growth increasingly coming from outside China. In CEE, Poland offers an early indication of that potential: WPP Media research found that more than one in ten adults already use or have tested dedicated microdrama apps, while almost 10 million have encountered the format. As microdrama grows beyond its direct-to-consumer roots, the next opportunity is B2B2C, connecting the category with established media, telecom, digital and brand ecosystems. MediaSpurs will lead market development and strategic partnerships in Poland for FlareFlow and COL Group International’s wider microdrama business, creating new commercial opportunities across content distribution, platform partnerships, branded entertainment and production. COL Group International operates the world’s largest dedicated microdrama ecosystem, spanning original IP, global production, technology, platforms and distribution. A pioneer of the category in China and the US, COL has played a defining role in microdrama’s global development, incubating world’s leading microdrama apps. Its flagship platform, FlareFlow, has rapidly scaled internationally, while COL’s global content ecosystem now includes more than 7,000 titles across 13 languages. MediaSpurs brings two decades of senior experience across international media and entertainment, with a track record of helping global media companies enter and grow across Poland and the wider CEE region. The company has become one of CEE’s leading specialists in microdrama, combining market intelligence and category development with hands-on commercial work across distribution, platform partnerships, branded entertainment and go-to-market strategy. MediaSpurs is actively bringing microdrama into commercial conversations across the region and connecting the rapidly growing category with the established media ecosystem. “We see significant potential for microdrama across Europe as the category continues to expand internationally,” said Timothy Oh, General Manager, COL Group International. “MediaSpurs combines senior experience and relationships across the established media industry with an active role in developing the microdrama category in the region. Poland is an important market for us and a natural entry point for further growth in Europe. That combination will be important as we build the market.” Łukasz Wysocki, Managing Director of MediaSpurs, added: “We are past asking whether audiences will watch microdrama. They already do. The question now is how that momentum translates into the wider entertainment ecosystem, through operators, platforms, content, production and brand partnerships. COL Group brings IP, content, production capabilities and technology at global scale, while FlareFlow gives us a strong platform around which to build those partnerships.” RELATED
