United Heroes Group’s documentary label Heroes Docs announced that as part of ARTE’s Generation Ukraine collection, the documentary Nukemailing, directed by Pavlo Cherepin and co-produced by DOCDAYS Productions GmbH, has already secured its first broadcasters: ARTE, rbb media GmbH, and Deutsche Welle.

The European premiere of the film is set for December, and Heroes Docs’ international distribution partner, Autentic, anticipates high interest for the film at Cannes.

Nukemailing tells the global story of state-level nuclear blackmail, while also being an intensely personal account of the film’s protagonists experiencing nuclear captivity. It focuses on the 2022 attacks on Chornobyl and Enerhodar, providing a global context through the eyes of direct witnesses and world-renowned experts such as Harvard professor Serhii Plokhiy and former Los Alamos National Laboratory director Siegfried Hecker.
