Polish pay TV platform nc+ has extended its output deal with French sales house Arte Distribution for a further three years.

The deal includes the acquisition of a minimum 50 hours of programming a year and at least five hours of pre-buys in all genres of documentary. The initial order is for 62 hours, including Claude Lanzmann feature doc Four Sisters. It has also pre-bought Volcanos Among US (20×26’), produced by Arte France and Les Bons Clients, and Monuments of Legend (5×52’), produced by Arte Germany and Seppia.

The programs will mostly be split between nc+’s documentary channel Planete +, cooking channel Kuchnia+ and lifestyle and garden network Domo+.

Joanna Zawistowska, programming manager for nc+, said: “The Polish market is highly competitive and many broadcasters are looking for this type of content. I’m like a kid in a candy store.”
